Candied Apples

1 C. Sugar
1/2 C. Water
1 C. White Corn Syrup
1/4 tsp. Red Food Coloring
6 Med. Apples

6 Wooden Skewers

1. First wash, stem apples. Then mix sugar, water, food coloring and corn syrup in Saucepan over moderate heat.
2. Cook to 250 degrees or until a hard yet flexible thread is formed when some of the syrup is dropped in cold water.
3. Remove syrup from heat and dip apples, turning them to insure uniform coverage.
4. Place on wire rack to cool.
